Among the many blogs I used to maintain, there was one entitled ‘The Gift Study’ (I was very much into Sherlock Holmes back then) and it was all about giving gifts. A peculiar subject to pick perhaps, not something people concern themselves with on the regular – only when the situation calls for it, anyway – but I always thought the topic was fascinating. Unter all den Blogs, die ich mal hatte, gab’s auch einen, der ‘The Gift Study’ hieß (ich war zu der Zeit sehr von Sherlock Holmes angetan) und es ging dabei um Geschenke. Vielleicht ein recht eigentümliches Thema, nicht etwas, womit man sich tagein, tagaus beschäftigt – es sei denn, die Situation verlangt es – aber ich finde es faszinierend. So sehr, dass ich von einer großen Geschenk-Firma geträumt habe, die sich auf maßgeschneiderte Geschenke spezialisieren würde – Auswahl, Kauf, Verpackung – aber das ist eine Geschichte für ein andermal. Wśród dużej ilości blogów, które prowadziłem w swoim życiu, był też jeden o nazwie ‘The Gift Study’ (miałem fazę na Sherlock’a Holmes’a wtedy), który dotyczył tylko i wyłącznie prezentów. Całkiem być może osobliwy temat, nie jest to coś, czym ludzie zajmują się na co dzień – tylko raczej kiedy sytuacja tego wymaga – ale ja uważam, że temat sam w sobie jest po prostu ciekawy. Na tyle nawet, że swego czasu marzyła mi się prezentowa korpo, która by się specjalizowała w prezentach na zamówienie – wybór, zakup, spakowanie – ale to historia na inny dzień.
