Hi, my name is Maximilian and welcome to my corner of the Internet! What I do here is write a bunch, mostly. I fancy myself a word smith, which is a term I made up, because I really like words. By day I’m an outside-goer/research analyst and by night I’m an amateur cook/writer, because adulting is hard and keeping a sensible schedule when you’re aiming for your big break is even harder. I was born and raised in Germany, though we only stayed there for a while. I’m back here now, though I spent most of my youth and young adulthood in Poland. I learned English by really not doing anything else as a teenager, and now I’m whatever this is. My hobbies are all over the place, though I’d say hiking/outdoor and photography and YouTube are pretty much at the top of the list at the moment. Oh, and music and musicals. And the Lord of the Rings, and being very queer. And rambling on, as you might have probably guessed by now.

I started this blog because I find the world fascinating, and I want to share being fascinated by the world with the world. A cycle of sorts, just put through the lens of my experience. If you find that idea appealing at all – you’re welcome to tag along.
